@tkradtke No - I couldn't go because of the new job. I almost told you but it was just my daughter and my husband that went for this visit. They had a full few days though - they wanted to try to meet up w/the Rowing team's girls/coaches bc she wants to row if she goes there and my husband has a cousin that lives there too so they spent a day with them too. They said it's a beautiful area and I told them my Lilypad friend leaves nearby. I will definitely be going next time if she accepts - hopefully late spring or summer.

@jenn mccabe That's cool! What did she think of the school? Does DePaul have a rowing team or is it through Chicago Rowing Foundation? And definitely let me know if she accepts and you're in town with her!

@tkradtke Will do! She really liked it. They gave her a nice scholarship and she got into the Honors program. The value for the Film program is amazing and the fact that they have 3 studios at Cinespace is pretty awesome. She's also really interested in comedy and DePaul has the connection with Second City and a minor in comedy filmmaking. She's still waiting to hear back from a few schools bf she makes her final decision though. The rowing team is a school club - rowing is a weird sport - collegiate clubs can participate in D1 events. They say they do a little of both.

@jenn mccabe That's great!! Clara goes to DePaul Prep and has access to some of the facilities at DePaul University.... so much there! They have really grown and upgraded their facilities in the last few years. I look forward to hearing what she decides... if you guys have any questions about life in Chicago, just let me know! We seriously live like five blocks from campus.

@tkradtke I am already fuming green with jealousy because you may get to see Jenn sooner than I will!!!!!!!!!!! Jenn this is so absolutely awesome!!!!!!she looks gorge3ous (as usual!!!) and the page is so so beautifully composed , those shadows are so perfect they make it look paper real!!!!! I love the patterns combo, the big title and the date in bright red...all little details I could be here more time to delight myself with!!!! LOVE this!!!!
