DAY24.FILLED POCKET_Hello Beautiful Traveler’s Notebook (londoncuppa)

Description
MOC7.DAY 24.FILLED POCKET_Hello Beautiful Traveler’s Notebook (londoncuppa)

I’ve always loved the Hello Beautiful line from Renne. It’s just gorgeous. If you don’t already own it, go buy it!! I knew I wanted to make a traveler’s notebook as soon as I saw this challenge, so I could put the pocket on the front and stuff it full of amazing things from this line.

I printed out all the papers/elements I wanted to use after I resized everything & clipped the papers to Allison’s great pocket template. I then added Stick It adhesive to a plain 8.5x11 piece of chipboard, added the cover paper and ran everything through my XL Sizzix Big Shot (I have a few traveler’s notebook dies).

I fussy cut the flair from the kits and used a Tim Holtz metal ring to make my own element. The “love” flair was attached to the back of a clear button and then stitched with jute. I also fussy cut the banners, word art, borders and stars. The stars & circles were coated with glossy accents to make them dimensional.

The pocket and crepe paper were stitched with my sewing machine (I love to sew on paper!). There are 10 cards in the pocket. I gusseted the sides of the pocket in Photoshop, so that when it was printed and sewed, I was able to really stuff it. I could probably fit even more in if I tried.

Thanks for the challenge, Barbara, and to Allison for providing the great template!

What a great hybrid TN! I will have to check out the dies...it will help me dust off my Big Shot...I love combining digital and paper. Great page (cover) for the challenge, so much work but well worth the extra effort!

I've been waiting! Hopeful for an inspiring Hybrid project and you delivered! OH MY TN dies!? I will have to look into those! I got a Big Shot for Christmas from my son, the XL one.
AWESOME!
Thank for playing along with my challenge!

I'm so glad you liked it. Eileen Hull designs for Sizzix, and she has several XL Scoreboards dies for journals in varying sizes. This project was made with the "Journal" die (Die No.661906). I buy the chipboard from Amazon, and it's really thick & sturdy. You have to use the big steel-rolled dies to cut it because Thinlits won't work. I was able to get both cover pieces out of one chipboard sheet. I'd love to see your finished notebooks if you decide to give it a go. @Sokee @michele hillam
