journaling: I purchased the drawer slides many weeks ago, but never had uninterrupted time to sit down and figure out where I could attach everything to make this pull-out shelf for our kitchen trash can. Finally over Christmas break I had a free day and time to work on this project. I had plenty of leftover plywood and an extra handle in my stash, so didn’t even have to buy supplies. I wanted to still have space behind the trash can to store stuff and I wanted to be able to get the trash can out without having to pick it up, so I measured and sketched and measured and sketched and finally came up with a plan that I thought would work. The inside of the cabinet was warped pretty bad, so I also had to level that off with some shims, but I think it turned out great and is so much easier to use now!
What a fun background for this construction page! I love that you used 12 screws too. You and your projects never cease to amaze me Karen; good work. Thanks for joining my MOC challenge!
