Journaling Reads:
In early 2011, I was actively practicing photography. Offering
the occasional shoot on weekends for friends and family and posting it all on social media.

One day I received a message from a local photographer, who needed some personal images for her website and marketing. She had seen my images on facebook and liked my style. I was so incredibly flattered. Dawn was a “real”photographer. She had gone to college forphotography, while I was a self taught, weekend type, mama photographer.

We met up at a local park and I shot a bunch of images. She paid me! But when I got home, I realized they were absolutely terrible! I believe I was so intimidated that I just missed settings, and everything I knew about photography! I reached out and was honest about myresults. She was so gracious. I offered to do a reshoot, which she accepted. From there, we became friends. We would get together regularly for photo walks.
