The journaling reads:
The other day I was in a taxi going home and the driver asked if I spoke Indonesian. I told him I didn't, thinking that would be the end of our conversation and took out my Airpods. To my surprise, he continued in English, telling me he was really surprised I was a foreigner, because from my name on the app he'd assumed I was local. 'Where are you from?' he asked and when I replied I was Czech, he laughed and rattled off the names of a few Czech football players. And the conversation flowed from there. He told me about his brother who works as a chef at a Japanese restaurant in Washington, DC, and of another who works for Washington Post. I told him of the things I love about Indonesia - the weather, the nature, the friendly people... It was such a lovely ride home I was even a bit sad when it ended.
Ah, lovely color and texture on your page! Wonderful documentation of an unexpected conversation! You are in Indonesia? I lived there for about 9 years - totally relate to having conversations with friendly strangers!
