DAY 11_ON THIS DAY (Journaling Challenge)_My Heart Took Flight (londoncuppa)
I choose to write about the day my oldest daughter left for a teaching commitment/contract in Japan. She is saving her money to go to medical school, and she feels this is the best way to go about doing it. She’s still there, and I get emotional every time I think about her being on the other side of the world. I’m hoping she’ll be home in October, but there’s no guarantee.
This page is not only beautiful visually, but the journaling is something you will treasure forever. I can tell that you have very mixed emotions, pride, and missing your daughter, but she will eventually be home again and then you can hug and cry happy tears and show her this gorgeous layout.
Your journaling is so heartfelt, great storytelling. Love the Japanese lady, the journaling on the path, and the accents. Wonderful design! Thanks for playing along with my challenge!
This is very moving and so lovely! I love the Japanese woman you have watching over the journaling here. I know it's hard, but what she's doing will be so meaningful to her in the future. I got a chance to spend a month in Korea and I regret so much that I didn't get to do that sooner, nor that I didn't get my degree to teach there. So when you feel like the pain is going to crush you, shift your perspective and think of how proud she's going to be and remember how proud you are. You're amazing and so is she!
