JOURNALING: March 4, 2017, Columbus Crew SC opened their 22nd Major League Soccer season at Mapfre Stadium. With the statue of founder Lamar Hunt observing from the Plaza, the Black and Gold were only able to salvage a 1-1 tie against the Chicago Fire. Over a third of the Crew roster is new to the team. Four of them saw action in the game: Jukka Raitala, Jonathan Mensah, and Artur. (Not pictured is keeper Zack Steffen). It was nice to see an old familiar face, Matt Lampson, who is now the backup keeper for the Fire.
