journaling: At the beginning of this crazy swim season, Janet told us that we probably wouldn’t be able to do a lot of the normal things like going blonde and head shaving. Wyatt was so bummed because he’s wanted to shave his head for years and we made him wait until he was on the high school swim team. Thankfully they made it through the whole season without any covid infections and they were allowed to have the fun traditions. The boys did their own bleaching this year in the locker room after practice of March 8th. Then on March 11th they did their crazy hair cuts. I loved Cody checkerboard cut! Ha ha! Wyatt got the old monk’s ring. Ha ha! Then on March 12th they all shaved each others heads. The parents weren’t allowed to participate in any of that. We normally made a potluck meal for the boys on the night they shaved their heads and then we got to watch them shave each other. I would have loved to watch this year, but I’m just thrilled they were able to at least have these small fun times of normal in the middle of this crazy pandemic year. Wyatt finally got to shave his head. He complained about being cold at schol for the first week and wished he could wear a hat. Ha ha!
What a fun tradition. I also like the checkboard effect. the monk's ring is too funny as well! Great job with the series of photos for each boy. Wonderful page!
