“We’re the Hotshots, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” Growing up
this as the theme song for me, my sister, and our
cousins in MInnesota. Every summer and most
Christmases, we would get together and the
adventures would begin.. We spent hours
choreographing dances and shows to perform. We
would swim, drive the four wheelers or tractors
at the farm and spent more hours than I could count
playing dice. I remember trips to the Old Mill Inn
where we wouldget ice cream after the sing alongs
and nights spent hanging out on the screened patio
where we were “free” from the adults. There were
slumber parties in town if we were in Sacred
Heart and campouts in our playhouse if we were
in Colorado. We got good at “hiding” from our little
cousins to discuss “grown up” things. Time together
was always extra special and to this day I smile
everytime I see a post from these ladies
who were my first and dearest friends..
