Journal reads:
A once in a lifetime trip which was
great but once was enough. A very
long flight to Hong Kong but then
ensconced in our hotel room for a long
nap! 3 days spent there before
moving on to Shanghai, The Great
Wall, Forbidden City (where there was
a Starbucks!!) Budha on Stanley
Island, Red Square and all in
between. I was somewhat taken
aback by the pollution and fully
understood why our athletes wore
masks when they arrived for the Olympics!
Also never understood why our temperatures
were taken at most of the ports upon
disembarkation! After 17 days it was nice
to return home, just another
long flight away! We came
home with “souvenirs” aplenty
including my “Susie Wong”
dress and PINK EYE!
