Oh the heartstrings are getting pulled here. I can't believe AJ is in college!! He looks so happy and I'm sure he's loving it but I'm sending you hugs! I can't even think about it yet, but it keeps popping in my head because my oldest is starting HS and I know I'm going to blink and be right where you are.
@Karen it goes fast! Hold on tight for some fun years and then watching them fly free without a safety net. LOL not to be dramatic! He's doing great and LOVING it all so far. As we are on the phone Tuesday as he was walking back to his room and said hi to several people and then stopped someone to ask for a refresher on their name and find out the name of the unknown person they were with...
"Oh hey! How are you... I'm sorry I forgot your name. How's it going? Oh great - John... I'll try not to forget again. Then to both - I'm AJ. Nice to meet you Brandon..." etc. There was an ease and confidence I didn't recognize. He's grown up more in just 3 days! Unfortunately he woke up with 103 temperature yesterday So he missed some of the orientation and already learned where student health is located LOL
@norton94 oh gosh! I love that you got to overhear that interaction on the phone with him! Boo to the fever... hope he's on the mend now. And I guess it's better to get that out of the way first thing and not miss classes hopefully!
