Journaling:
"A blooming agave is not a good thing. In a roundabout way it is, I guess. When an agave blooms, it's a sign that it's ready to die. The mother blooms grow tall and spread out at the top. When the plant [mother] falls, the little baby seeds spread out over the desert floor and keep the future bright for agave plants. An agave takes 15 to 20 years to bloom, depending on how much water it gets. It's a rare thing to see in one's own yard. In the desert, you see them everywhere. This is the first one I've seen of my own that bloomed."

well, you are becoming one of my most favorite scrappers.... love the page design, the photos are amazing, and trhe fact that you transcribed the journaling for old, not good sight women like me to know what the page is about...I always say a journaling, or even if not journaling in the page, just giving a bit of the story takes the page to a whole new level.... this is gorgeous , amazing in all ways possible!!!!
