This is Pariser Platz in front of the Brandenburg Gate. The street sign is from 1994, a few years after the reunification. Before that the square was in the death zone and in 1994 it still was a wasteland.
Below is a panorame shot of what it looks now.

I LOVEEEEEE this, Rikki! The cut-out block design is perfect for that amazing top photo. You've popped it up just the right amount. Your panoramic bottom photo is a jaw-dropper. Great journaling. This is so stunning that I had to make it a ***FROGGY FAVORITE***!
Rikki this is beautiful!! What a beautiful cut out as Margaret said... it looks like you aare looking through a window and come upon this gorgeous landscape that you have placed on top. I adore the B/W with aged sepia tint to it.. it makes the entire page so vintagey.. gorgeous!! Thanks so much for playing along with the technique challenge. Well done and congrats too on the Froggy Fav from Margaret.. well deserved!
Gorgeous, Rikki. You always seem to know just what is needed to accent your photos -- an artist's gift I think. I love the bottom panorama which really sets the scene.
What a beautifully ornate sign, great b&w conversion. And showcasing the old with the new was a perfect choice. I love how that panoramic photo was blended into the background.
I totally agree with what everyone has written about this layout. It is so striking the way you did the cut out pieces. I love the textures beneath it too.
