When I met you back in 2015, I was doing a job that most people wouldn’t even consider but I had tried to turn it into something meaningful. Inmates get treated like slaves and I wanted you guys to have someone in your lives that gave you the respect that God demands we give one another even if it were only for a few hours a day. Many of the guys tried to get a hold on me but not you. Your morning greetings were chaste and polite and the only ulterior motive you had for helping me with the trash was to squelch your boredom. Your intelligence was apparent immediately and I knew that your job in the storeroom signified your trustworthiness. And even then in that silly monkey suit I could tell you were attractive. Once I left the prison kitchen job, we were able to get to know one another more and I have grown to love you. Now, in the final months of your bid, we are able to talk on the phone for hours and video chat on your breaks. I love the life we are sharing and I look forward to our future together!
