Remember: God loves you no matter what.
There is no larger reassurance than this. I am a poor miserable human being full of sin and selfishness, but because God loves me I can aspire to be more; to be more patient, more loving and more kind. God's love gives me an internal strength. Don't forget that love and that strength. It is not imaginary. It is very real.
Remember: Give yourself grace.
Land almighty girl you can't do everything. You can't be everything to everyone and you certainly can't make everyone happy. It is OK. Fall back on that reassurance that God loves you. Share it when you can and give yourself some slack, girl!
Remember: The more love you give away the more you receive.
Love greatly and love freely. Tell your people you love them. Friends and family need to know you are thinking about them and praying for them. That love will come back to you in abundance but it doesn't matter. Filling yourself up with love makes the return love icing on the cake. Now go hug your children, your spouse and your pets!
Remember: Age is only a number.
Twenty-six, thirty-six, and forty-six all have their good and bad points. I can't imagine going back and doing any of it over again so I will choose to look forward to the next ten years. Fifty-six is going to be amazing!
Remember: In five or ten years "this" won't matter.
The dirty dishes, crunchy floor and Mt. Washmore are perpetual nuisances. Estate business, car issues, and unfinished projects will be sorted out. Even kerfuffles with other people will be smoothed over with time and love. So don't stress the small stuff. It is all small stuff.
