One of the saddest places I have visited, the city itself is lovely and the people generous and friendly... My daughter posted these comments on facebook on the day we visited.

Love how the B&W shows off the skeleton of the tree and the architecture here, it also feels respectful and appropriately sombre. Love the addition of the paper crane element too and the perfect Pause wordart - thanks for scrapping along with the Slow Scrap!

I know it's sad but it is so necessary to document so we all realise the impact that decisions can have. This is a really well designed page and the B&W conversion was very appropriate for the content of the photo.

Powerful journaling and layout. B&W is so appropriate for this photo and subject. I like your little touches of red and the paper crane as well as the large number of stapled.

What a dramatic photo! Love the empty tree against the sky along w/the empty building! Wow! Very powerful! I think the staples along the edge add to the gritty feel of the LO, too.

The journaling really makes you stop and think...I can't even imagine. The photo is beautiful and eerie all at the same time.
