I have scrapped these photos already, is a very long story but in not so many words, of how I am not needle & thread inclined, but when Sarita entered a singing competition aged 9, I convinced her to sing a different song than what she had chosen (Jamelia's Superstar which half of the kids were singing and was nothing memorable) Even her singing teacher agreed- she was doing classes at VoxBox after school- I also made a huge effort to provide her costume with change just after the start bridge. (she started with the nun's outfit to which I cut and very patiently stitched Velcro in the whole length at front so she could rip it and carry on singing in the pink outfit (to which I also made some modifications) and that she could wear those high heels silver shoes she loved so much...The song was I will Follow Him from Sister Act (the movie) Needless to say (no pun intended LOL) She won!!!!! another one for her to be convinced #mumisalwaysright
