@jenn mccabe @Sokee The ones closest to me, on his left, are his. There are 6. Combat service in Afghanistan and East Timor. 20 plus years of service. He also has a unit citation for service with 5 aviation in East Timor and the Army Combat badge. I could be more specific but you get the idea.
The ones on his right belong to his Great Uncle for service in WW2. In Australia we wear our own medals on the left, on Anzac Day and Remembrance Day we also wear the medals of our ancestors, on the right, to show respect and remembrance for those who came before us.

And yes. I am terribly proud and somewhat overprotective lol
