We bought a non prelit tree for the first time this year. I do love not having to worry about the lights being out, but it is annoying to string the lights on the tree first. I love all the details you included about the old tree.
Wonderful journaling! I had the same trouble with mine. Three years in and over a couple of days ALL the lights went out. So I just put some regular strands on top. But I like your plan better! Great page!
Fantastic journaling! I love the full page of journaling with the photo on the other side of the spread. Also, I love the stitched border and the way you did the date. Lovely page!
gorgeous series with these pages Tracie.... I haven't had much trouble with trees...either we were with the family so they would have to make it all (we wouldn't make the tree if traveling 14000 km to the family LOL) then we had the same, little tree for about 5 years, until our neighbor upstairs gave us the white one...the lights it is Sarita who 8n-tangles...so no fuss for me LOL
loving your series here!!!
i love the big journaling! It's really simple and brings out the story you're telling. we got rid of our prelit xmas tree half of the light wouldn't work the middle wasn't working and i fixed it then the top. Perfect excuse to buy one of those big fluffy one! we've had the same small sad tree for 7 years now.
