Journaling (and grammar) by the 6 year old:
Dad and me went on a hike. We found a snake and then we poked it with my stick so it wouldn’t bother us. And then we hiked back up and we find a skinny stick and we picked it but it was too breaky so we got another one and it was bigger. And we headed back down. And then Daddy used a big stick and I used a little stick. And we didn’t see any bears. And it was a good hike.
