My 4-year-old niece got me the Disney Princess crochet set for Christmas. She's already a taskmaster & every time she comes over she checks my progress!
“She came running into the living room on Christmas morning ‘Open your present! It’s a crochet set!!!’ When she came over in February, she demanded to know why I hadn’t started crocheting the princesses yet. ‘Do it now!!!’ When I showed her the finished Cinderella, she inspected it & then said ‘Where are the rest of them???' These princesses suck all the joy out of crocheting. You have to crochet each individual piece & then sew them together. I have no choice but to continue, because every time she comes over, she takes the box off the shelf, opens it up & checks my progress. I don’t want to teach her that you should give up on something just because it’s hard work! Only 10 more [princesses] to go."
