MOC #5...How We Really Live

Description
Journaling reads:
We live in a small house. I air dry A LOT of our clothes. Air drying takes a LONG time in the humidity of Okinawa. So, more often than not, there are one or two giant drying racks taking up a considerable amount of our living space. By the time the clothes dry, I have another load to dry! We lovingly, sarcastically, call the drying racks the “Christmas Trees.” So, for many photos, the Christmas Trees are in the background. I hate that! And I usually leave these photos out of my scrap pages, off Facebook, etc. But, this is how we really live. This is our normal life. And although it’s annoying, it is part of our time in Okinawa and I’ll be glad to have this page to look back on and chuckle. Besides, look at his face trying to blow out the re-lite birthday candles!!! .

I so love this. Love the colours and the design, LOVE that perfect capture of a photo (and admittedly love it because like most people in NZ we have drying racks around the house much of the time too!!)

I spent many years as a child in Japan, and drying racks...lol, they bring happy memories. I would never have even noticed them. Now I am in the arid desert, where towels dry in less than 30 minutes..and my children beg me not to line dry (oh mom, your underwear really??) lol

LOL Love your title, your journaling, and that awesome photo! Down to earth slices of life are my favorite memories! Terrific composition and wonderful page! Thanks for playing!
