Thank you everyone! @AnneofAlamo we're playing a game designed by my husband, Twilight Arcana, which he did a not-very-successful Kickstarter for. (He's going to try again someday.) It's inspired by a game that came out around 2006 (if I remember correctly) called Sleeping Queens, a game of luck involving collecting queen cards and battling with opponents for various reasons with other cards. There are dragons, knights, jesters, coins, swords, wizards, etc.
