One Little Bird: Silver Linings

For the June Take Two Challenge. Journaling reads:
we were so sad to lose our first weimaraner, abby. but it felt wrong to be just a one dog family, so we set out to find another weim to fill the void. it wasn’t easy. we searched for months until we saw your sweet face online. you weren’t a true rescue with a sad back story. you were just someone’s baby once, until they had babies of their own and didn’t have the time to spend with you. they were so sad to let you go, but they knew it was the right thing. so off on a road trip we went, to meet you and let you meet us. it was love at first sight - us with you, and you with the muffin we left in the car. which you promptly found and ate as soon as you jumped in. call it a peace offering i guess. and then off we went, to introduce you to your new home and family. it was an easy transition; you fit in so well and had no trouble making our house your own. six years later, it’s hard to imagine our lives before you. you’re spoiled, and so high maintenance. and sweet and loving. and the best thing we ever did.
