Star sand is this amazing tiny sand that is shaped like stars. We had heard about it all the time we lived in okinawa, but never knew what it really was until our tour to Taketomi while on vacation at Ishigaki. It is actually the skeletons of timy sea creatures and is only found on four beaches in the world, all part of the tiny island of Okinawa. Amazing!
