My little adventure with a coyote.
Journaling Reads:
Anyone who knows me is aware that I love to run early in the morning. Early this morning I had a face to face encounter with a coyote. Immersed in my own thoughts, I was startled back to reality when I realized that the coyote was right in front of me and staring me down. I very carefully backtracked my steps, all the while maintaining eye contact with it. I was absolutely terrified. As soon as I was out of his line of vision, I turned tail and sprinted as fast as I could, my heart pounding in my chest, and a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I kept looking back over my shoulder. Thankfully he never came after me, but I could not stop shaking. It really was a close encounter!
