Your first ever orchestra concert took place at the yearly end of school picnic. My darling Bianca you have been musical since birth so it was only natural when you chose to play violin in the 4th grade beginner’s orchestra. We rented you a violin and after months and months of painful screeching noises from your room you got better with practice. The end of the year concert was a way for all the students to show off their new skills with a small concert for their fellow students and parents. You were beyond nervous, which isn’t like you; normally you LOVE being in front of crowds center stage. I could see the nervousness in you as you paced before the concert and making sure your violin was in tune about 100 times. I know you had practiced the songs over 100 billion times each and had them down pat, yet in the back of your head you were so scared you were going to mess up. I promised you that you would do just fine.
When it came time for the show, you hit the stage with your fellow 4th graders and played alongside them like a pro! No mess ups!! You looked so much older standing there playing. You would not look up at me or your siblings, you stared into your own world studying hard the music in your head as you played. The concert went along beautifully and all of you did an amazing job. You played 5 short songs, ending in your favorite of the year, Pepperoni Pizza! I could have not been more proud of you! Gosh knows you did not get any of your musical talent from me!
