There were so many times over the years that I thought the day would never come, but I *finally* completed my MFA degree. There were so many times I changed directions, and so many times I was derailed or had major obstacles to overcome, but I finally finished. I took part in the August 2011 graduation, and it was a very emotional moment. Almost a year later, when I received my bound thesis and diploma, it still didn’t feel real, but holding them in my hands felt amazing.
