Journaling:
Today you participated in history - the most important election for president in recent history. At five and two you have no idea who John McCain and Barack Obama are, but you know that Mommy was doing something very important - exercising her right to choose the next President of the United States. You proudly wear your I Voted stickers; I hope that as adults you are just as proud to do it yourself. So many people have fought for the right to vote that it is not just privilege, but a responsibility. You must participate in the direction your country is going - it is important to fight for your values. Be educated. Know where the candidates stand. Vote for those who match your beliefs not just who seems best. Pray - pray for who to vote for, pray for the voters, pray for the next president not matter who they end up being. I promise you that I will - not just for myself, but for you.
