- 'For the kids' reward for doing their chores for the week, we did ice cream! We were going to go to DQ, but they were so crowded! We decided to try Alexander's on the square. We were so glad we did! Such a quaint throw-back to small-town and slow-paced living. This is a gem hidden in plain sight, and we will most definitely be visiting again soon. We got our ice cream (these were 1 scoop, believe it or not) and walked across the street to sit by the old court house. The air was warm, the birds were singing, and it felt like summer! As for the ice cream flavors, mine was mint chocolate chip, Meagan's was rainbow sprinkles, Bas had peanut butter cup, and Isaac had turtle swirl."
