This layout documents the passing of my step-mom...
"It was only yesterday that I was making plans to travel to Ohio to visit Nancy. I had waited so long because of our busy schedule and all that the kids had going on. But I had a sense that time was short, and I wanted more than anything to go to her, to sit with her and talk like we always have. And then Dad called, and I knew I was too late. I got up this morning to drive, under very different circumstances. As I drove along, my heart breaking, I couldn't help but notice how the winter sun still rises and lights the earth, how beauty remains even though I feel like this right now. And somehow it helps. I can breathe a bit, knowing that creation remains constant, even as my own world changes forever."
