I got goosebumps looking at that photo and more goosebumps reading your story! I am so glad mr. Tom is a happy toddler now and that this story has a happy ending! Awesome page you made of it! The sepia, taupe and brown beautifully illustrate that it is a story from the past and at the same time delicately underline the photo and the fact that it's not about the most happiest time in your life.
Oh goodness...I'm so glad this chapter in your life closes with a happy ending but what a scary chapter it was. I'm so glad you documented it nonetheless..I so believe in that kind of authentic real life storytelling. The page here is lovely too.
