Love your journaling here. If I had my way, we wouldn't do for Santa for similar religious reasons, but I've relented a little as a gesture of love towards my family & think (hope!) my DD will appreciate that I allowed a little Santa in when she was a child even though he is not a big part of our Christmas.
Love the strips of paper and the way the background pulls you in.
And, I know how hard it is to balance being a Christian with being engaged in our culture and neighborhoods. Isaac is way too young to worry about Halloween yet, but I know in the next couple years I will struggle to remind him, yes, we celebrate with our friends, but we celebrate because we have something bigger to celebrate: Christ's resurrection. And so we can join in with our neighbors and friends, we just do so proclaiming that our joy and our reason to celebrate always lies with Christ's sacrifice for us.
I just love the visual here so much! The bg paper is perfect here and so is the title work! Good for you to stick to your beliefs yet find balance and cherish memories.
