That is what everyone
wondered...including me,
sometimes. Everyone said not to
get a boat so close to having a baby
but, Billy wouldnt hear it. In
his mind, NOW was the only
time to get it. And, I knew
we would enjoy it before baby
arrived. Here I am on his birthday boat ride/picnic. We planned to
drive the boat down to St. Augustine and park for a picnic in front
of the fort. That is what he wanted for his birthday and Im a good
sport. We rode down about 30 minutes to St. A and put our anchor
in. It was such a beatiful day and I had no shame to sunbathe in my
bikini while he fished. He kept my plate full of fruit, cheese, crackers
and shrimp (yummy). Whose birthday is this, really? Our relaxing day
got very interesting when we decided to pull up the anchor and head home.
We realized that it was low tide and our boat was practically sitting on the sand.
Billy had to hop out and try to push us off the little slope. Eventually, he did it. I
felt [a little] bad for him because there was no way I would get in the water. I
dont like the ocean! We made it back safely. It wasnt until a month later that I
realized I couldnt help load and unload the boat - let alone, get my big butt IN the
boat anymore. It had also become impossible for me to fit into the tiny bathroom, which
was my only saving grace during our trips. I look at this picture and giggle at the
adventures we had during my pregnancy and at the idea of what people must have
thought, seeing me, at 8 and 9 months pregnant, helping my husband with the boat and
trying so hard not to fall in! Hahahahaha!
