Love when I learn about something new to me through a scrapbook page! Wonder what the benefit of hanging the monorail is compared to the other way we see them. Sort of freaks me out! But I love your visual storytelling here!
I love the juxtaposition of your photos and all of the directionals! I'm not sure I'd want to ride in something hanging in the air! It must have been something to see it IRL! Great photos and a fab page!

i was more concerned for the cars and buses parked underneath it's path but there's apparently 2 different upside down monorails in the greater tokyo area (and some in germany) - apparently they sav space (don't have to tunnel underground like subway and have ground level stations although there's plenty of those in other parts of the country) and smoother ride based on physics principles - this one was a shorter line length and the faster of the 2, but it didn't feel like the swinging roller coaster we almost expected even on bends - maybe in high winds they cancel it, not sure but it was high on novelty value, like an amusement park ride crossed with public transport!
thanks so much, high praise especially given how much i love your photography ... and i haven't really even put a dent in my 'to scrap from japan' pile so you'll be seeing lots more for the foreseeable future #sorryNotSorry
