Description
I don't think many people would look at a cat-themed kit and jump directly to panthers but I knew immediately that I wanted to use that photo of Micco walking in front of the window. Then I had to find one of Sassy overhead. Hearing her purr is still one of the highlights of our time as zoo members.

Their purr is amazing, huh!? We have cougar sightings all the time here in Oregon...kind of scary since they frequent favorite hiking trails for people. Gotta watch your doggies out there!

At first I thought that was outside your house and I am so glad it's at the zoo where they are safe and protected. I love your photos and the B&W one is a cool vantage point. Love the stitching and the big heart. I adore cats of all sizes and am happy to never encounter any in the wild. My 16 pound cat is big enough.

That does sound scary. We have gators on the trails here and that's terrifying enough.

I wish! The odds of seeing a panther in the wild are so low that I doubt I ever will. In the meantime, this exhibit in the zoo makes for some amazing photos. The male cougar (brought in from out of state) has this window into his portion of the enclosure that makes for amazing photos. The female panther has a 'cat walk' that lets her go above the heads of visitors and I was so happy to finally catch her up there. That's actually a cell phone photo too; we were really close.

I am allergic to (house) cats so all my cat scrapping is either these panthers, the lions at Lion Country Safari, other big cats at the zoo, or my beloved 'swamp cat' Mardi, the leucistic alligator (who also lives at the zoo and is as spoiled as a house cat; he has his own AC unit).
