Journaling:
Andel and Company was a Chicago based firm best known for manufacturing "Executive" dental floss, a high-end personal care product popular in the mid-20th century. Their flagship brand, Executive Dental Floss, was marketed as a premium waxed silk or nylon floss.
The company operated out of Chicago, with its main offices historically located at 511 N. Noble Street, close enough for my Aunt Harriet to walk to or to take public transportation. She is pictured above with her co-workers, sporting a yellow flower. Circa 1950.
I love heritage pages and this is perfect. Isn’t it weird that they called it executive! You are so lucky to have that photo, a fun glimpse of the past.
@Iowan@scrapchyck@flowersgal Thank you all! I realized that you can't read the journaling here, so I'm including it in the gallery description. I always remember my aunt working at a factory that manufactured banners, so the dental floss must have been a previous job. I learned something as well.
