Journaling reads:
Eric and I are still trying to figure out what our evenings look like. We've started putting in motion (he walks for an hour around the neighborhood and I go to the gym or to Pilates class). But other than that, our evenings are spent really probably recovering from the years of busy-ness. We still help the kids, though now it's by text, Google docs, email, and phone call. We're helping them write resumes, and prepare for interviews, and how to send professional emails. So different from the years of driving to practice, waiting, going to games and matches. Now, in our quiet times, we spend most of our evenings like this.. ..I always have the dog on my lap. The TV is always on, although I'm not always watching it. We make dinner most of the time now because we're home consistently and we don't have picky palates to please. I'm constantly reading. And we're figuring out how to cook for two.
Cooking for two takes some getting used to, as does having leftovers, doesn't it? Love seeing your wonderful empty nest life shared through the senses. Thanks for playing along with my MOC challenge.
