journaling: Every time I put these Noel ornaments on the tree, I think of my friend Joan. We worked together and were desk buddies. When we moved offices, we wanted a table put between our desks for added work space. Unfortunately it was not in the cards. When we found out, the two of us broke out into a chorus of “NOEL” meaning no “L” shaped desk. From then on, at Christmas time, Joan and I would give/send each other a “Noel” Christmas card, and we exchanged “Noel” ornaments. These are two that Joan gave me. She has now passed away, but I remember her and the memory of “Noel” fondly!
