This is really cool Betty! I love the giant carved out of trees and that they kept the bark of the tree on him for extra texture! I took photos similar of a giant when I was in Dublin and the size and the details on your giant (and the one I captured) is so amazing. What carvers can do with trees and tools is so amazing! I recently watched a series called "The Cut Above" on HBO/Max of people making gorgeous carvings with chain saws! Amazing art, and so glad you captured this! TFS!
Oh how cool! I would love to go walking around there and see that in person! I love that you added the close up photo (which totally caught my eye) and then you added the full photo too!
This is so cool! What a neat piece of artwork and love the closeup photos showcasing the details. I also really like colours and clustering. Wonderful!

Thank you. Your comment sent me down a rabbit hole. Does Thomas Dambo have trolls in Dublin? No, but I did, eventually, find another one less than 10 miles from my home. As I told my cousin, it's on the way to one of the Costco warehouses that I visit! Only a short detour. I'll have to add "The Cut Above" to my watch list.
Yep, the man spread is there! As we hiked to the next troll, we debated whether Bo was a man or a woman with the necklace. Got lost in a rabbit hole today and confirmed definitely meant to be a man (father) when created. Thanks.

Thank you. I am so glad that my cousin, with whom I was traveling, listed this as one of her top priorities for our trip. I think I'm beginning to move into a dark background phase of my scrapbooking.
