Journaling:
I was never big on going to Sea World in my younger days, but as I have gotten older, I am truly fascinated by all animals including seals and penguins! This is the second seal photo I have taken with it’s mouth open! The first was back in 1986 when Mom and Dad lived in Florida and we did (much to my chagrin) go to Sea World when I was visiting them with Carol. The Seals were my favorite. I loved that thy put on a show leaning over and batting their fin in a wave! Now we moved to the Beach and yup there is an aquarium here, and the 3 times we went I was so fascinated with the seals that are there. There is a big water tank on the outside of the VB Aquarium and a few swim around meeting the visitor as they wait to enter. I have named that one “Cecile” and laugh as I wave when we drive by! These photos were taken August 1, 2019 when I was in NY with Mary & Rich and they took me to the Riverhead Aquarium. This seal did not disappoint! He (just like the one in 1986) laughed with his mouth wide open, and it always makes me smile as I think these would be awesome for an advertisement for a Dental office! So as you can see I no longer say no to the aquariums! The last one I went to was in Myrtle Beach, and again I was enamored with the aquatic animals!
@elseepe oh Lisa, you are so right that they are sea lions and not seals.. LOL oh well there you go.. I am a little dopey today.. anyway, I still love them! Thank you for your sweet comments!!!
@cfile I didn't actually know the difference, it just sparked a memory of sea lions -- I think it was around San Francisco, but could have been southern Cal.
This is so much fun and what fantastic photos! I love your journey liking the aquatic animals and aquariums too! Great journaling, but lots of great blue/watery goodness on your page!
Fantastic photos - I love the ones with their mouths open - great captures on camera! I really like the corner cluster with the grass and other foliage and the green string bow. Great use of colour on this and of course great storytelling!
