Astoria

- I really like Astoria, OR. I don't know why, since I didn't grow up anywhere near a coast or big river...but I just do. The town sits on the mouth of the Columbia River where it empties into the Pacific Ocean. It used to be a much busier port as well as a center for fish canning. There are some older buildings with interesting murals on them about life there in earlier times. I put a picture of the old pilings as a layer under the more modern pictures and elements to reference the past.
