my daughter is allergic to corn syrup (and now diabetic) so she trick or treats and donates the treats...
all from Oogly Boogly by Kaye Winiecki and Kate Hadfield!
Love the story of this! Glad she can still enjoy the act of trick or treating at least! This would be a great LO for the journaling challenge this month!
Oh goodness, Andrea! What a wonderful, giving heart she has! Most kids would just whine that they couldn't eat the candy and not even bother with the trick-or-treating. I love that she donates her candy. My husband has been to Iraq a few times, so I know how much that soldier must have loved opening a box of candy!! He used to request his favorites during the holidays and I'd always send extra for him to share. And I know it must put a huge smile on the faces of those precious babies at the Children's Hospital! An awesome memory to share! Love the little cluster at the bottom.
This is such a great story to scrap, I love that you used the photo of her at the Rainbow House and then make the page "halloweeny" with all the papers and elements!
What a great idea and I agree - a very important story to scrap. She gets to have fun but also learns a serving and giving heart. Amazing daughter and amazing page!
