I took a broad approach to showcase the things I enjoy doing. In reality, it's scrapbooking itself that I love, and this page is an attempt to represent that. I only create digital pages, but I try to make them look as realistic as possible, for example, by using (or at least trying to use!) realistic shadowing.
The image was generated using MidJourney AI, which I’ve recently been really enjoying—it’s another form of creativity for me, playing around with prompts to achieve the perfect result. The page reflects an autumnal atmosphere and nature because autumn is my favorite season, and I love walking in the autumn forest. The book represents my appreciation for analog things—I love reading, and I can’t imagine doing it digitally in e-book form.
Time also appears on the page because all the activities I’ve included are time-consuming. I love spending hours creating and getting completely immersed in the flow. This particular page took me 3.5 hours of uninterrupted work to reach a form that I found acceptable.
You've captured realism perfectly with this digital page! I always adore an open book page...something about them sparks so much creativity in people! Do you create your own shadows or use Styles?
Stunning!! I love what you did here and the combination of Somewhere In Time with that background works really well! I use Midjourney too ;-), for me it's the best generative AI tool there is at the moment...
@scrapchyck Thank you so much! I create my own shadows, but I'd like to improve in it! Sometimes I do a similar compostion with objects around me to see what "realistic" looks like, haha.
@AnjaDD Thank you, Anja! I used to play with the built-in generative AI tool in Photoshop, but Midjourney works best for me too. It can do funny things, though.
@bcgal00 Thank you so much, Rae! Sometimes, I can't find the right photo of my own to match a particular kit, but I still want to work with it because it has truly inspired me. In these cases, I create an AI-generated image that fits the mood and color scheme. I think it's a fantastic tool, and I love experimenting with it.
