looks like a complex machine (is this mindstorms? or the first lego league comps? DS has friends that do this locally - it's amazing stuff) love the 'in the zone' and proud team photos!
@bellbird. Thanks, I have no idea what the competition involves. My DD sent me the photos. He loves the robotics club. I should have put race car drivers over the friend’s faces, tee hee, like you wrote about on the blog!
lol yeah i noticed the gaussian blur (i'm not up on famous race car drivers apart from daniel riccardo b/c he's aussie even though DH has been a formula 1 fan since before we met, so i probably wouldn't have known if you did swap them out! - these robotics comps are pretty serious and serious fun from what i understand with different criteria and performance requirements and different levels of coding required at each level - there is/was a bit of an extreme 'reality show' called 'robot wars' where they basically have to out-run, out-smart or incapacitate the opposing teams robot to win and progress. At the school level, i really hope it's more fun than competitive!
