Sept. 2024 - Journaling Challenge - Unexpected
Journaling - Life is unexpected. Benjamin being diagnosed with Autism was unexpected. Having to hire educational advocates because of issues last year with his teacher was unexpected. Now, we're discussing an Autism geared school – if the district can't meet his needs – totally unexpected. Unexpected and stressful and worrying but that's just life. Making silly faces before the school bell was an unexpected surprise. Unexpected doesn't mean bad and I have to remember that.

What precious photos! As a special education teacher, it breaks my heart a little when parents don't feel supported by a school or teacher. I hope that you are able to find a school to meet his needs! Wonderful cluster work and use of the stitching!

that 'unexpected doesn't mean bad' finishing thought is really profound and i think i need printed on a tshirt or my forehead so i see it in the mirror or something - sorry school has been less than receptive, i hope the advocates help
