Oh my!! They look so delicious!! I am so sorry that the ones you had from the store did not live up to the hype and that you were a bit disappointed. I am glad though that the next time you visit Canada you will give it another try! This definitely does look like a dessert that one would make back in the day!! I'm sorry your Nanaimo bars didn't live up to the hype. I haven't made these in a while, but used to make Nanaimo bars every Christmas (classic recipe from Canadian Living magazine) and the homemade bars are truly delicious. I love your page! like something out of magazine
