Used Kim Jensen Garden Variety paper and elements
Journaling: 1988 Was a year of growth and maturing for me. After a really good social senior year, the transition to college was really scary. But my younger friends were very supportive and encouraging and my parents were proud I was going away. And so after a summer that included Senior week and working two jobs, I drove the 3 hours with my VW bug to a very different world. Luckily I knew people there, otherwise I would have been terrified. I became friends with my neighbors in the first floor of Frost Hall, and also my friends from home’s new friends . It was a fun Freshman year, but also exhausting as I caught a really bad illness, what i suspect was mono. I look back fondly at all the memories. Especially all the ones that created the person I am now. From Dorm food - eating cereal for 2 meals a day because I was so picky. To parties and snow and lots of cold wind. To warm days where everyone hung out on the quad. To spending time with new friends and learning their pasts to doing my own laundry. It was all so new and I really am lucky to have experienced it all.
Awe I love this journaling! It reminds me of my first year of college when I moved three hours away and lived with five complete strangers. Such an experience! I love that you used Kim's Garden Variety bundle to scrap it too; the "bloom" flair and birds along the bottom fit your theme perfectly.
Wonderful journaling!! I remember that transition as well (1984 for me)...scary, exciting, and such a year of growth!! And what a fun time! Love those fabulous photos and the great stamped numbers!
I love this! As a mom of a daughter going into her senior year, it resonated with me as my past from my own experience and to my future for my daughters experience. Great story telling and love all the white space on your page.
