On the sides, I wrote some lyrics from the song, and at the bottom of the page there is my journaling, which reads:
I so love this song to this day! I was in Junior High when the music video was first released (I am that old!), and I was already in love with the band and Axl specifically. Now, back then there was no YouTube or stuff like that. I had to sit in front of the tv and watch MTV for hours, before it would finally appear on the screen. The music video was so complicated, and teen me could not even understand what was going on, but I felt and still feel so connected to this song. It's moody, and sad, and complicated; it was excactly how I was feeling in my teens, thinking that this moodiness (is that even a word?) would never end. Actually, it did end: teen mooodiness was substituted by adult moodiness, which is a lot worse!
