well i am intrigued now about what your first 4 or 5 attempts involved - butterfly shapes work well in rotations like this given their crazy flight paths and you connected them well to make your frame
@bellbird My first idea was to make a rectangular frame filled with all the letters of the alphabet, in varying sizes and rotations, and journal about how much I love working with young students learning to read and write. I got as far as G before I remembered repetition was one of the requirements. Then I browsed the custom shapes and tried something but I forget exactly what (that was last night and it's afternoon now). I also started making a frame with the letters M and O to frame a photo of me and my Mom, but didn't like how that was looking. And I think I tried another word idea too. I love words. Someday when I have more time, I may have to make myself a frame with letters.
Thanks for humouring me. I'm glad you remembered the duplicate requirement before going too far, lots of good ideas, I went thru stacks of them myself, not everything works nor did for me anyway but that's part of the challenge & life in general
